New Rules The International Hockey Federation (FIH) have announced new rules which will come into effect in England on 1st September 2012. These will allow the scoring of 'own goals' more easily and the ability to lift the ball when taking a free hit, centre pass or putting the ball back into play. |

Subs and Training The first training session for the new season will start slightly earlier than normal on Wednesday 22nd August. We will also be ready to collect your membership forms and subs on the first two training sessions. All members need to submit a new membership form. It may seem a hassle filling one in each year, but it guarantees that we have your up-to-date contact details in case of an emergency. |

Dates for your Diaries A couple of dates for your diaries. Our AGM will be held on 21st April at the Fry Club with our Presentation Night on 12th May. Further details will be available nearer the time. |

Shirts The order for ladies' and men's shirts was placed at the end of February. The ladies' shirts have now arrived and look very nice. They are TK Florenz shirts in navy blue with white inserts. The men's shirts will arrive in about 6 weeks time since they had to be specially ordered to ensure that the colour matched the ladies'. At the recent committee meeting it was agreed that these shirts will belong to the club rather than individual players. As such, no current players will have to pay for a shirt. Equally, if someone leaves the club they will be expected to return the shirt. Since we are so near to the end of the season, it was also decided to distribute all the shirts in September. |
